What is hard chrome process and what is its characteristics
Hard chromium in hard chromium process is a kind of chromium plating.
镀铬有两种的，一种是装饰铬工艺的装饰铬，一种是硬铬工艺。
硬铬是比较好的一种增加表面硬度的办法，但是它的优缺陷很多，所以好多状况下都没采用。
硬铬优点一，表面光亮度好，
硬铬优点二，不会生锈，一点锈斑都不会有;
硬铬优三，镀的进程中原零件变形小。
硬铬优四，假如零件尺寸不到位，可以通过加几丝铬来到达尺寸。
硬铬优点五，表面比较美观。等等
硬铬缺陷一，价钱高，不光镀的费用高，而且镀后还要再加工。
硬铬缺陷二，不适合表面比较复杂的零件，
硬铬缺陷三，厚度太薄，一般只有0。05-0。15mm左右，缺陷四，对一些的零件表面的光亮度要求比较高 。
硬铬一般采用比较多的是常在低温条件下使用的机械，如：模具等
镀装饰铬望文生义，主要目的就是为了表面光亮、外形美观、防锈等等。
